RAYS Metal seated top entry ball valves are successfully delivered

Recently, a batch of high-performance top entry ball valves with DN150-DN500 and PN100-PN180 have been successfully produced and passed various tests in our RAYS factory. All the valves have been delivered to our foreign customers at the end of September 2020 and will be put into use for a large natural gas project.The valve body for this order is forged by integrated forging. Compared to casting, the mechanical property is more stable and reliable under the working condition of gas medium at minus 60 degrees. All of the workpiece was machined by CNC lathe and machining center, which ensures the shape, position tolerance, and accuracy of the workpiece. In addition, the ball and valve seat products adopt: cemented carbide spraying technology, the sealing surface hardness is high, wear-resisting, high temperature resistance, erosion resistance, and other excellent characteristics.The finished product test after assembly simulated the gas working condition of the user. After nitrogen high-pressure gas test, the hard contact sealing surface reached the standard of zero leakage.Structure and characteristics of top entry ball valveTop entry ball valve is used mainly in pipeline and industrial systems which can utilize inline maintenance. Its main features are: simple structure design, low flow drop, compact size, light weight, reliable sealing, and quick open/close. The operation methods can be: manual, gear, pneumatic, electric, gas-over-oil, electro-hydraulic, and others.Top entry one-piece bodyTop entry ball valves differ from other standard ball valves is that it can be maintained online without removing from the line. It reduces maintenance costs and extends service life. The welded end structure is installed on the pipe, which is not affected by the pipe stress and objectively reduces the leakage point while ensuring the sealing reliability.Seat sealing designSeat sealing include: seat, seat insert, and other components. Seat inserts can float independently in the axial position and seal the seat at zero pressure/low pressure by preloading the spring. This design is used to realize the ability to turn off the quality under working pressure and high pressure conditions. On the outside of the seat insert, we insert the O-ring and the elastic ring to ensure the seal between the seat and body. The expanded graphite also retains the seal in case of field fire to ensure the reliability of the valve seat against fire.Emergency rescue and valve lubricationWhen the valve seat and stem seal are damaged, leak occurs. The sealing grease injected by the grease valve can achieve the function of emergency sealing. Under the normal working condition of the valve, the valve stem and sphere can be lubricated by injecting grease through the grease valve, making the valve more flexible and portable.Extended stemFor buried valves, the valve stem can be extended according to the installation and operation needs. The size of the extension stem will be according to customer requirements. All blowdown pipes, vent pipes and emergency injection devices shall be extended accordingly. Other related pipes shall be attached to the extended part of the valve to connect the: blowdown valve, vent valve, and injection valve to the ground for installation in order to facilitate the regular maintenance of the main valve.Anti-static designThe upper and lower stems (trunnion) are designed against static according to API 6D and IS0 17292.DBB/DIB-1/DIB-2 Design diversityWhile the upstream uses the single piston seat, the downstream uses the double piston seat which has the double blocking function and can cut off from the upstream/downstream media at the same time. With automatic directional pressure relief function, the valve seat can automatically relieve pressure (discharge to the upstream side) when abnormal pressure boost occurs due to temperature increase of the medium trapped in the valve chamber.Low torque valueThe top entry ball valve is a trunnion mounted type where the surface of the ball is: grinded, polished, and hardened. A sliding bearing is fitted between the ball & stem to minimize friction and operating torque.Operation typeConnection flanges between valves & actuators comply with ISO 5211 to make them more adaptable and interchangeable. RAYS high pressure ball valves used in harsh working conditions are successfully delivered

Recently, a batch of high-pressure pipeline ball valves of DN250-DN400 PN63-PN320 have been successfully completed in our RAYS factory. DN250 PN320 and DN300 PN320 passed the high-pressure nitrogen test of 32MPa for three cycles to meet the requirements in harsh working conditions. The DN400 PN63 metal seated ball valve passed the high-pressure nitrogen test of 6.3MPa for three cycles, and all products meet the Grade A zero leakage requirement in harsh working conditions. This batch of products will be delivered to Russia in upcoming days at an ambient temperature of minus 60 degrees Celsius YAMAL project put into use.Product introductionSpecial purpose metal seated ball valves and high-pressure pipeline ball valves are suitable for Class150 ~ Class2500, PN16 ~ PN420 various pipelines, used to cut off or connect the medium in pipelines. RAYS Gas-Over-Oil Actuated Ball Valves Finished For Delivery

Recently, RAYS have successfully completed a DN150-DN1000 PN63 Gas-Over-Oil actuated ball valves project which have passed various tests. After debugging, these 17 pcs of ball valves and actuators have been delivered to our foreign customer in March of 2020 which will be placed in a large-scale booster compressor station project.Due to the recent epidemic situation in China, under the advice of the local epidemic prevention team during early March, RAYS management and personnel department properly arranged the enterprise to resume work and production. RAYS have tried their best to shorten the impact of the delivery date for customers.All the ball valves delivered this time adopted safety Gas-Over-Oil actuator with hydraulic manual and pneumatic functions, which are featured with remote control and ESD emergency shutdown functions. The customer only needs to provide 220V AC power supply on-site. In addition, the challenging characteristics of the products in this order were: large diameter, high pressure, high height of the whole setup, the largest single piece of the DN1000 ball valve weighed about 15 tons, production equipment, lifting equipment, debugging equipment, and personnel safety production. In the early stage of order production RAYS held: production seminars, process seminars, safety production training sessions for personnel, debugging training sessions for executing agencies, and other ways to ensure the smooth progress of the order. Also, RAYS held reasonable time planning and procurement of the corresponding supporting equipment to ensure the production efficiency of the order and the stringent testing requirements of the valves.The products of this order have two different designs of ball valves: bolted body connection and fully welded body. Before installation of the actuator, in order to ensure that the torque of the ball valve is within the theoretical calculation range, there is a need to detect the torque value of the ball valve before the actuator debugging. Fortunately, RAYS is also equipped with a special automated computer torque detector for situations such as this.The excellent quality and high-performance stability of the fully welded ball valve is not achieved by the normal ball valve. Therefore, the service life of the fully welded ball valve far exceeds the normal ball valve. In this instance, it is used very widely in various fields such as: urban gas, urban heating, petrochemical, ship-building, steel, pressure control station, power plant, and other types of pipeline equipment. RAYS XL sized Fully Welded Ball Valves finished for delivery

Recently, RAYS have successfully completed 14 pcs of fully-welded ball valves with specifications of DN1200 PN16 which have passed various tests. They will be delivered to an international customer and put into use within a large-scale natural gas project. Such a large sized valve can be called a “giant valve”. Valve companies rarely produce such large sized full welded ball valves. Therefore, this was also the first time for us, here at RAYS, to manufacture such a large size. We used a serious and rigorous attitude into each process which we invested 100 percent of the effort, and the final product resulted in our favor - RAYS extra-large sized fully welded ball valves finished for delivery successfully.
