RAYS is manufacturing a batch of DN600–900 | Class 600 pneumatic-hydraulic side-entry trunnion ball valves for the PETRONAS Prince 2 petrochemical project in Malaysia, serving critical natural gas isolation duties.
For large-bore, high-pressure gas service, the valves integrate an internal support plate structure to help reduce pressure-induced body bending and maintain stable concentricity between the ball and seat sealing surfaces.
Both upstream and downstream seats adopt a DIB-1 double-piston-effect design. Each seat can independently respond to pressure from either direction, supporting reliable bidirectional sealing. Cavity overpressure is protected through an external safety relief valve.
Additional protection includes an anti-blowout stem, anti-static device, fire-safe design, and a dual stem-sealing arrangement with an O-ring primary seal and flexible graphite backup seal. The O-ring supports low leakage under normal operating conditions, while the flexible graphite backup seal helps maintain sealing capability in fire exposure conditions.
RAYS combines load-path control, bidirectional sealing and layered safety protection for critical high-pressure natural gas isolation.
