RAYS has completed the delivery of 8" | Class 300 cage-guided single-seat pneumatic control valve for the CNOOC Wenchang project.
In offshore process service, reliable control depends not only on flow capacity, but also on stable plug movement, actuator thrust requirements, shutoff performance and the arrangement of the control-air system.
The valve incorporates a pressure-balanced trim design to help reduce fluid forces acting on the plug and lower actuator thrust requirements. The cage-guided structure supports stable plug movement during regulation. STL hardfaced seating surfaces provide ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class V leakage performance, while the S-streamlined flow path and equal-percentage cage characteristic support smooth and responsive flow control.
The valve also features an internal control-air passage design. By integrating the air passage within the valve structure, the design helps reduce external tubing, fittings and connection points, minimizing potential leakage risks under offshore conditions such as salt spray, vibration and long-term environmental exposure.
RAYS supports offshore process reliability through stable control valve structures and cleaner control-air integration.
